Rochester Community Concert Band presents

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI. The Rochester Community Concert Band will present ‘Moondance’’ on Tuesday, October 18th, at 7:30 p.m. in the Rochester High School Performing Arts Theater, 1361 Walton Blvd, Rochester Hills, MI 48309. The concert is open to the public and admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted and appreciated.

Featured at the concert will be Rena Kirshenbaum, vocal soloist, performing Van Morrison’s “Moondance” conducted by Ken Kirshenbaum and guest conductor Walter Kimsey, Director of Bands, Merritt Academy, who will conduct “Masque” by Francis McBeth.

Other selections to be performed include: “Our Cast Aways” by Julie Giroux, “Superman Suite” by John Williams, “October” by Eric Whitacre, “Rough-Riders March” by Karl L. King, “Italian Polka” by Sergei Rachmaninoff, and “Greek Folk Song Suite”, by Franco Cesarini.

About Rochester Community Concert Band

The 75-member all volunteer Rochester Community Concert Band is conducted by Paul F. DeRubeis and includes adult community members and advanced high school students from greater Rochester and Rochester Hills. The band also welcomes new members in the clarinet, bassoon, french horn, and euphonium sections.

The RCCB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt organization; donations are accepted and greatly appreciated.
